Bobby Santos III NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Advance: Monadnock Speedway

Race: Monadnock 200
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour: 7 of 14
Track: Monadnock Speedway
Date: July 17, 2010

Bobby Santos III will race at Monadnock Speedway this Saturday, July 17 in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour's first stop at the track since 1990.

MONADNOCK SPEEDWAY - Although this will be Santos' first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race at Monadnock Speedway, he has one previous start at the Winchester, N.H., track. The 24-year-old went to victory lane in his single start at the track, winning a NEMA Midget race in July 2008.

LAST RACE RECAP - Santos' dream season hit a bit of a snag at Lime Rock Park when a flat tire following a mid-race incident and a blown engine with three laps to go relegated the Franklin, Mass., native to a 17th place finish.

IN THE POINTS - Despite struggling at Lime Rock Park, Santos continues to lead the point standings. He currently sits 74 points ahead of second-place Todd Szegedy.

Bobby Santos III Quotes:

ON RACING AT MONADNOCK - "After a weekend off, I'm ready to get back to the track with the team. I'm looking forward to racing at Monadnock. It's a fun track, and I am excited to race there in a modified car. I hope we can get back on the roll we had going before Lime Rock."
