Spraker Racing Thrilled to Get Back to Action at Lime Rock Park
Rookie Andrew Smith and Experienced Road RacerGuy Pavageau Ready to Tackle Road Course

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 30, 2010) - Spraker Racing will return to NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) racing with two entries for the K&N 100 at Lime Rock Park. Rookie Andrew Smith will pilot the No. 37 Spraker Racing Enterprises - Smith Associates Chevrolet, and Guy Pavageau will compete with Spraker Racing in the No. 08 Need an IT Job? - Cure Alzheimer's Chevrolet.

Coming off a 22nd-place finish due to a late race flat tire at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Smith will make his debut at Lime Rock Park in his sixth NKNPS East start of the season. Although this will be his first NKNPSE road course start, the Pooler, Ga., native has found success on road courses during his time racing in INEX Legends and Late Models.

"I am really excited about racing at a road course," explained Smith. "Maybe that is what it will take for our luck to turn around. I am almost speechless with the way our luck has been the last five races. I am just looking forward to getting back to the track and gaining more experience."

Although Pavageau is more synonymous with jazz music than with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the professional bass player is an experienced road racer. The relative of famous jazz musician Alcide "Slow Drag" Pavageau has raced on road courses since he was 17 years old. He has competed and won in SCCA competition.

The Los Angeles native will return to the start of his racing career, competing in the No. 8 Need an IT Job? - Cure Alzheimer's Chevrolet. When the 54-year-old started racing, his first driver's school was at Lime Rock Park. Throughout the years, he competed in several races at Lime Rock Park, including a Speed GT World Challenge race in the 1990s.

"I have raced many times at Lime Rock in sports cars, but stock cars are different," explained Pavageau. "I have driven cars similar to a stock car at Lime Rock, so I will just try to do the best I can. I have always had trouble at the track, starting with my driving school. It is one of those tracks that can really bite you. I am excited to run with Spraker Racing this weekend and change my fortune at Lime Rock."

Cure Alzheimer's is close to Pavageau's heart, as his father was diagnosed with the disease. Upon his father's passing, Pavageau started a program in Rocksville, Md., called "Racing for Randy" to raise funds and awareness for American Health System Foundation. He raced with the Racing for Randy program in SCCA national races, including Speed GT World Challenge races, and other road course races to promote the program and raise funds.

Need an IT Job? will adorn the hood of the No. 08 Chevrolet. Need an IT Job? is a program developed by Century Alternatives, Inc. (CAI). CAI recruits and places technological professionals, including senior software integrators, developers, database administrators and requirements specialists, with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection. Owner Jeff Spraker is happy to get back to the racetrack. "We have had really fast cars. If we could just get the monkey off our backs, we would have better finishes," Spraker stated. "I am excited to have Guy join our team for the weekend. He is a good guy, racing for a good cause."

On-track activity at Lime Rock Park begins on Friday, July 2 at 10:40 a.m. EST, with final practice at 2:10 p.m. EST. Qualifying for the K&N 100 will be held at 4:55 p.m. EST. The K&N 100 will start shortly after the track debut of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The green flag will drop at 2:15 p.m. EST on Saturday, July 3.
