Tim George Jr. Rolling Into The Irish Hills

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 8, 2010) -Tim George Jr. and the No. 31 Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Development team will meet with more landscape as they head to the Irish Hills this weekend, coming off a 10th-place finish at Pocono Raceway. They will arrive in Brooklyn, Mich. looking to make continued progress with their 2010 ARCA Racing Series program. George will visit Michigan International Speedway to compete in the Racing for Wildlife 200 - Friday, June 11.

Leaving Pocono and heading to Michigan, George and the No.31 RCR team feel confident their luck will continue this weekend. The New York, N.Y. native has one prior ARCA Racing Series start at Michigan International Speedway; his only finish came in the summer of 2009 where he qualified 10th and finished 13th. Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is a high-banked, muti-grooved oval speedway.

George put the No. 31 through its paces under the watchful eye of crew chief Gere Kennon during the May 25, 2009 open ARCA test at Michigan International Speedway; George clicked off the 21st-fastest time in the overall combined speed, turning in a lap of 40.588 seconds at 177.392 MPH.

"I feel good about returning to MIS, after a solid run at a fast place like Pocono Raceway," said George. "Our test day went well a few weeks ago, and Scott Wimmer did a good job showing me how to run there. Also to have my RCR Cup Teammates at MIS to watch and learn from will be helpful."

Adding to the on-track excitement at Michigan, fans will be given the opportunity to meet George at an autograph session on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn-Irish Hills Race Fest presented by Country Market.

ARCA Racing Series track activity at MIS starts on Thursday with practice from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell (All positions / 2 laps) starts at 3 p.m. The engines fire up for the Racing for Wildlife 200 (100 laps / 200miles) at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, with a live SPEED broadcast starting at 5:00 p.m. ET. Live streaming audio will be featured on the ARCA Racing Network at www.arcaracing.com
