George Carries Momentum Into Toledo Speedway This Weekend
Tim George Jr. Ready for Short Track Action at Toledo Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 20, 2010)- ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards driver Tim George Jr. and the No. 31 Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Development Chevrolet Impala team head to Toledo, Ohio for this Sunday's Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway. George enters the May 23 race at Toledo Speedway with momentum and confidence after a strong third-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway.

The ARCA Racing Series returns to racing this weekend after a four-week hiatus, George returning to the track riding the momentum of a third-place finish at Talladega and has two top-10 finishes in five ARCA Racing Series starts this season. In two previous ARCA Racing Series starts at Toledo Speedway, both in 2009, George boasted finishes of 16th and 17th.

"I think we are looking really good with our short-track package, and I can't wait to get to the short-track," said George. "Gere Kennon, my Crew Chief, and I especially like Toledo. Hopefully, we will have a good showing there."

The New York, N.Y. native is currently seventh in the point standings, trailing the point-leader by 185 points in arrears of the lead. Although George has yet to record a top-10 finish at a short-track in ARCA Racing Series competition, he posted his career-best short-track qualifying effort of ninth at Toledo Speedway in May 2009. George, a former road course racer, won his career-first short-track Late Model race just two weekends ago at Tri-County Speedway in North Carolina and is hoping for more success this weekend.

He will have to solve his short- track riddle to contend for a championship, as the 2010 season enters into the sixth event of the season. George hasn't exactly been lost on short tracks - he's best short-track qualifying effort came at Toledo in May of 2009, starting ninth. He's yet to record a top-10 finish at a short-track. George's best finish, 15th, came in 2009 at Rockingham Speedway.
