Heinke-Baldwin Racing Has Fast Start to the Weekend
Capture First and Third Starting Spots at Stafford Motor Speedway

Heinke-Baldwin Racing (HBR) development drivers Bobby Santos III and Erick Rudolph have started the race weekend off well at Stafford Motor Speedway, qualifying first and third, respectively, for tomorrow's Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST.

Santos, who is racing the No. 4 for Mystic Missile Racing this season, won the Coors Light Pole Award for the second-straight race. Santos qualified in the first position, after laying down a lap time of 17.965 seconds on the half-mile track. Like last weekend, Santos broke the track record, previously set by Matt Hirschman in 2007, en route to winning the pole.

Santos was also at the top of the speed charts for practice this morning, with a top speed of 101.107 mph.

"I'm really excited for tomorrow," Santos said after winning the pole. "The car is really good, and we were fast in practice too. We set the track record here at Stafford, which is really neat. It means a lot to have the track record at both Thompson and Stafford, two tracks I've gone to my whole life."

Erick Rudolph and the No. 98 Mohawk N.E./Original Pizza Logs team, qualified third for Sunday's event at Stafford Motor Speedway, with a time of 18.075 seconds (99.585 mph). Rudolph was 10th fastest in practice this morning, running a top speed of 99.624 mph.

Rudolph is also glad to be starting near the front of the field, saying, "This is the best I have ever qualified at Stafford, so I'm excited. Our car is good, so hopefully we won't run into any bad luck this weekend and will be able to capitalize on our great starting spot."

Rudolph and Santos will take to the track tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. EST for the 200-lap Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST.

About Heinke-Baldwin Racing

Heinke-Baldwin Racing was formed in 2009 by H&H Motorsports owner Al Heinke and Tommy Baldwin Racing owner Tommy Baldwin. Both Baldwin and Heinke grew up racing in New England and saw an opportunity to work together to help young drivers pursue their dreams to race.

In 2010, the team's freshman year, HBR is fielding the No. 98H for driver Jimmy Phelps in the Super DIRTcar Series, with sponsorship from Wave Energy Drink. They will also be fielding the No. 98 for driver Erick Rudolph in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, with additional sponsorship from Pizza Logs, Brigham Concrete and PrimeTyme Motorsports.
